Policy

  • Hold Alabama Power to an immediate 5% rate reduction for residential services.

  • Conduct a rate case in 2027.

  • Require Alabama Power to reinvest 10% of profits to energy efficiency upgrades to residential homes built before 1995.

  • Remove WRRCE and reformulate calculation to be transparent and clear to consumers, rather than maximum shareholder profits.

  • Encourage residential solar innovation by:

    1. Removing punitive residential fees by Alabama Power

    2. Allow residential consumers to benefit from buy-backs

  • Pause on data centers contract approval until:

    1. Environmental impact studies

    2. Resource allocation report for water and land use

    3. Public testimony
