Meet Jeff Ramsey

Alabama Power is dominating the headlines. While struggling to buy groceries, gas, and pay medical bills, residents can’t afford basic, everyday necessities. It’s no secret Alabamians are being crushed under the weight of deciding between paying rent or paying the power bill.

Alabamians demand a radical shift in how the Public Service Commission operates. Not only by ensuring regular, accessible, public meetings and rate hearings, but by rebuilding trust in elected officials, through transparency and accountability. Alabamians deserve to know our elected officials are advocating for our needs, and aren’t beholden to maximizing corporate shareholder profits.

Jeff Ramsey is ready to lead Alabama.

Accountability & Trust

Alabama is ready for utility innovation. Coal and natural gas comprise 60% of Alabama’s energy portfolio. With AI growth, data center sites being proposed across the South, and Alabama Power’s Plant Miller spewing the highest carbon emissions across the entire US industrial sector since 2015, protecting Alabama’s air, land, water, and rich ecological landscapes are critical. From Mobile Bay, to Lowdnes County, to agricultural lands in the Black Belt, Alabama’s natural resources are being assaulted by poor infrastructure, pollution and unmitigated sewage, big businesses who don’t care about Alabamians, and a Public Service Commission that puts corporate profit over people.

But change and innovation don’t come without hard work and rebuilding public trust.

I am dedicated to changing the Public Service Commission at every level. From open, accessible public meetings, to rate reviews and reductions, to personnel transparency, and public education campaigns, Alabamians deserve to have a deeper understanding of how the PSC impacts their daily lives and budgets.

Blue Collar Background

With over 15 years of experience, I know the ins and outs of the electrical trade, how to scope and scale construction projects, and ensure workers are cared for in the process. I bring critical real world experience to the Public Service Commission, ensuring ALL Alabamians are represented when important decisions are being made.

Blue Collar Values

As a journeyman, foreman, project manager, and now business owner, I have always advocated for workers and every day folks. I know experience is built through trial and error, taking risks and learning lessons along the way, but that leaders are only effective by building trust and accountability with my fellow crew members.
